Hahndorf Academy
Enjoy a relaxed class, learning the fundamentals of throwing with earthenware clay.
Explore wheel throwing, making ceramic earthenware vessels to use as pots, urns, cups or bowls in Hahndorf Academy’s cozy and fully equipped ceramics studio, led by ceramics expert Guy Ringwood.
Working with clay is highly meditative and tactile. In this class for beginners, Guy will lead you through proper wheel throwing techniques and introduce you to concepts like handle making and glazing.
Because class sizes are kept small, the class can be tailored to your individual interests, and you are free to work at your own pace, either to make the vessel of your imagination or just to enjoy the processes of experimentation.
The ceramics studio is located at the rear of Hahndorf Academy and can be accessed via the carpark adjacent to Balhannah Road.
