Big Heart Adventures

Nature Therapy and Forest Bathing

Big Heart Adventures 2

Unplug and recharge in nature.

Immerse yourself in a nature-based wellness experience in Belair National Park in the Adelaide Hills.

Forest Bathing, or being in the presence of trees, is a Japanese practise known as “shinrin-yoku” that has been proven to boost the immune system, decrease stress and lower blood pressure.

Our lives are just so busy. We rarely get the chance to switch off voluntarily from the everyday rush. Family, work and everything in between, all competing for our attention.

But what if you could just ignore all that for three hours? Switching off the phone and plugging into the natural world – where the wifi is weak but the connection is strong.

Research out of Japan and South Korea is demonstrating the science behind why we feel better in nature, so why don’t you come and try it for yourself?

Led by a certified Nature Therapy Educator, you will be guided through the sequence of meditation, slow walking and invitations to connect with nature, followed by refreshments.

It’s time to find calm with us.

For this experience, minimal fitness is needed. Those with limited mobility are encouraged to join us. Our bus has two wheelchair friendly spots available if needing transport (from Adelaide CBD).
