Big Heart Adventures

Sunset Hike and Summit Picnic

Big Heart Adventures sunset hike

Join us for an evening hike through Cleland Conservation Park for sunset and a picnic at the summit.

Experience a deeper connection with nature hiking at sunset on gorgeous bush trails from Crafers to Mount Lofty.

We will pick you up from Adelaide CBD at 4.30pm and head out of the city up to Crafers. From here you will walk for around 90 mins (6km) along moderately difficult trails admiring the tall gums and eucalyptus trees, spotting koalas and native flora along the way.

There are some gentle inclines and declines as we find elevation and views at the Summit of Mt Lofty.

Once at the Summit, we will enjoy picnic hampers containing delicious local produce and a glass of sparkling, white or red wine or a non-alcoholic drink from the Summit Cafe.

As the sun goes down, glass in hand, we admire the change in sky and landscape.

Just before departure an optional short nature inspired meditation will be offered.

Our customised minibus will return you to your hotel in the CBD by 9pm (or same pick up spot at Stamford Plaza Hotel on North Terrace opposite the Adelaide Railway Station).

Your guides are all certified Bushwalking Leaders holding first aid qualifications and carry group first aid kits.

We respectfully acknowledge that our gathering is on Kaurna Land traditionally owned by the Kaurna People.

A list of essential and suggested comfort items and any changes to our location/meet spot information will be emailed to attendees 48 hours prior to the event subject to the weather forecast.

Having hill fitness is required to join us however the terrain is uneven in places, and comfortable sturdy footwear is encouraged.

This event is recommended for those aged 15 and above and we suggest anyone under 18 attends with an adult.
